Hallowe'en Party Recap

Monday, October 31, 2011

We were very happy to host our third annual Hallowe'en party this year. It was loads of fun this year. We played a party game called the Name Game and it was a big hit. Even skeptics like Ron and Sean liked it and it really got people mingling, so much so that I didn't have to make introductions and everyone seemed to be talking to everyone.

We didn't have enough time to prepare a song to perform at the party this year with all the hockey we've been doing. We definitely won't miss next year, and we're going to start preparing right away. Hopefully Sean and Rich can come over and jam with us on a regular basis.

Here was the inspiration shot for my costume. I made everything from scratch, right down to the pig ears.Me as First Mate Piggy and Mindy as an airline pilot

Making my costume and Chris' was really the most time consuming part of preparing for the party. I will definitely be buying my costume next year, with this blog post as a reminder of why I want to do that. I spent countless hours on my costume, purchasing the fabric, designing the dress, epaulettes, belt and ears, only to be a little disappointed that it didn't have a big impact like I was hoping.

I was trying to compete with Miss Piggy? What was I thinking?

Had a blast at the party, even though I couldn't eat of drink. Can't wait to see more pictures. I'll plan better for next years party:)
