I haven't posted much lately. I've been posting weekly over at 5 Minutes for Special Needs. Check out my latest post.

I've got lots to tell you and hopefully I'll get a chance to blog soon.

Christmas 2010

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Christmas has come and gone and I'm finally getting around to looking at the photos and posting a few pics.

On Christmas Eve, we went to my cousin Angela's to celebrate. My aunt and uncle were up from Conneticut and my cousin Matt skyped in from Australia. My dad, brother and sister-in-law were all there.

Christmas morning, the kids woke up around 7:30 and came down to see if Santa had come. Which he had. The stockings were overflowing, the carrot was mostly eaten and all that was left of the cookies and milk was a few crumbs and a dribble of milk in the glass.
Opening stockings is fun. Precious got a matching game.
Chocolate for breakfast is always a treat. Mommy, Daddy and Gramps got stockings, too. Mine had a knitting magazine, and lots of my favourite chocolates.
We started opening our presents soon after and Gramps got two nice sweaters.
Precious got The Cat in the Hat and Gramps read it to her.
She also got a Dora Wii game which she really likes.

Mr. Boy got a Sens hoodie which he wears 24/7.
Sweet Pea got some new clothes in her favourite colour scheme - black and white. She chose to wear one of her new outfits rather than the black and white party dress I had bought her the week before. The girls look cute sitting together even though Sweet Pea isn't wearing her coordinating dress. We had supper at my mom's with my stepfather's family, my brother, my sister-in-law and my dad. Supper was delicious and the house was beautifully decorated.

Sweet Pea's Birthday Celebration

Sunday, January 9, 2011

We had Sweet Pea's birthday party for the family on December 19th - one day before her birthday. At her request, we had spaghetti for supper. I also served caesar salad and garlic bread. Rather than a cake, we made cookies for everyone.

The girls dressed up in their new Christmas dresses, and not to be outdone, Mr. Boy wore his smart-looking black dress shirt. That kid is growing so fast, that I can't keep up with his clothing and I'm going to need to get a grant from the government! LOL!
Sweet Pea was happy to see everyone and felt really special because I had blown dry her hair into a style and tied it back in a very cool way.
Her sister wanted the exact same style, of course, and the girls looked adorable in their dresses and matching shoes. The next day there was no school. At daycare, Sweet Pea got a Moxie girl from her daycare provider. When I picked the kids up after work, SP opened her present from the family which was some nice clothes for her. When Daddy got home, we went to her favourite restaurant, East Side Mario's for supper.

Sweet Pea Turns 7!

Tuesday, January 4, 2011

It seems like just yesterday that I was blogging about Sweet Pea turning 6. Now she's 7!

We had her party at a gymnastics place where the kids play on the cool equipment for an hour, then have food and a cake.
The driving wasn't too great with freezing rain coming down, but that didn't deter any of the parents from dropping off their precious bundles for 2 hours of fun.

Here's one of my precious bundles!
Sweet Pea swinging from a rope. Notice the rock climbing wall in the background.
Getting a photo with Big Brother.
With some of the gang, about the jump into the foam pit.
Sweet Pea was in the heaven being the centre of attention and the group leader was great. We brought fruits, veggies and chips to eat and a homemade cake that Sweet Pea helped to decorate.
