Farmer's Market and card games

Saturday, June 28, 2008

We were invited to a pool party today but thought we'd sneak out to the local farmer's market before heading over. It started raining and it was overcast and dreary so we figured the party would be canceled. We stayed a while longer at the market. We got some produce - the strawberries are finally ready! - and tomatoes, and also bought some grass-fed organic hamburger, a sun hat, organic lamb sausage, homemade tea, bumbleberry pie (the best I have ever tasted) and the list goes on and on. We were having a great time and the kids had fun at the kids' club. Mr. Boy did the obstacle race with Daddy and Sweet Pea got face painting. They got to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie while we were at the market, and they didn't seem to care at all about the rain.

Daddy and Mr. Boy tied together.
You had to eat a donut hanging from a string, without using your hands.
Sweet Pea getting a rainbow on her cheek.
The girls brought their Dora dolls.

We were invited to Geoff and Mindy's in the afternoon and the kids had a blast. There were so many toys in the playroom. We had snack and supper there! We played cards and chatted and just had a great time. Precious was asleep before we got out of their driveway because we were stayed past her bed time.

BTW, have I mentioned that I LOVE my new camera?

We had such a great time today! Glad you could stay so long - hope the kiddos transferred OK. C. jumped into the tub after you left and once in pjs asked to be scooped up in my arms and was fast asleep in no time. PS I love your camera too and can't wait to see the creativity it inspires from you and it!
