Bursting with Pride

Mr. Boy was as cool as a cucumber at his piano recital yesterday. He had practiced and was ready, and the songs were only a few measures each. He played a rhythm ensemble with his whole MYC Sunbeams I class, then each child played two short songs. Mr. Boy played "E-C" and "Handel's Slow Dance". I enjoyed seeing him up there and he did so well. His sisters sat through the recital, which was about an hour long.

We decided to eat out for dinner. DH and I were tired and didn't feel like cooking. We went to a ribs chain after having a poor experience the first time we went, about 4 years ago. We received a gift certificate so thought we would give it another try. The food was good but it was disappointing overall because it wasn't very child-friendly, the reception and the service wasn't good and the food was terribly slow. We went to DQ after for chocolate-dipped cones and the two older kids were on a high and just ran around the house for an hour after and it was after 9:00 before the older two fell asleep.
